Runic Travels began from the heart and dreams of Christine and Christopher Hanson. After years in the travel and tour industry, they decided to start their own company with the goal of bringing the beauty and excitement of Scandinavia to a new generation of travelers. The mission is simple; to provide you with all the resources to make your trip as enjoyable and memorable as possible.

After working as a travel agent and then with a Scandinavian tour operator, Christine Hanson brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the business. As CEO of Runic Travels, LLC, you can be assured your trip will be as you dreamt it to be. Christine's background also includes a degree in Scandinavian Studies from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She has also lived and studied in Oslo, Norway and was able to travel extensively throughout the region during her stay. Christine has also traveled throughout Sweden, Iceland, Finland, Denmark and most recently Greenland.

Christopher Hanson brings to Runic Travels a double major in Geography and Scandinavian Studies from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. During his studies, Christopher focused on the Folklore of Scandinavian emigrants to the United States. He too lived and studied in Oslo, Norway. Other countries Christopher has traveled include Sweden, Finland, Denmark and throughout Iceland. Christopher's background most recently includes management in one of the United States' largest outdoor sporting goods retailers, as well as supervising at one of America's National Natural Landmarks.
